Our Trustees

Every June, at the Annual General Meeting, you have the opportunity to vote for a team of parents who will act as trustees and oversee the operations of the pre-school.


These five trustees are responsible for ensuring the future of the pre-school by supporting the managers in staff recruitment, collaborating on pre-school policies, managing finances, and assisting the fundraising team in raising funds throughout the year. You can find a list of our current trustees, along with their photographs, on the noticeboard in reception.


To keep you informed, the trustees and fundraising team communicate through weekly emails, Facebook updates, WhatsApp groups, and announcements on the noticeboards and TV screen in reception.

At Buttsbury Pre-school, we are a small charitable business. Our fees are used to cover the running costs of the pre-school, but we rely on the fundraising activities organised by our team to purchase vital equipment for our children. From small play resources like paint, paper, and books to larger items such as outdoor toys, tables, chairs, and even annual trips, the efforts of our fundraising team enable us to enrich the experience of coming to pre-school for all of the children in our care.


Our fundraising team members are all volunteers who generously donate their time to support a wide variety of fundraising activities throughout the year. Every bit of help, big or small, is valuable. We encourage parents to get involved, as many hands make light work. We hold meetings once a term at the pre-school, where coffee and biscuits are provided. We are always open to new ideas and value everyone's input.

Do you work for a company that will fund-match the event (please speak with your HR department)? If you do, this is a substantial amount of money that will help towards our fundraising total for the year.


In previous years, the employee applied for funding a couple of weeks in advance of the event and then pulled the raffle tickets on the day and this was enough to approve the funding. It really is that simple!

Some companies involved are: Sky, Fords Motor Company, National Grid, BP, British Gas, Legal & General
